Women across the state
look forward every year
to gathering together
for our annual Women on
Mission Celebration!
This April 17-19, we
will meet at First
Baptist Church for
worship, spiritual
encouragement,
evangelism, and missions
updates! The address is
1100 W. 10th
Avenue – Anchorage.
Our Theme: Discover
God¡¯s Majesty, Mercy,
Mystery, Mission
Date: April 17
registration/meal
service (begins at 5:00
p. m.) -
April 19
closing following lunch
(about 1:00 p m.)
Registration Form
enclosed. This is the
one meeting I feel is
worthy of even taking
¡°personal time¡± from
work to attend if there
is that option. I also
try to help with travel
costs if that is the
only barrier to
being able to attend! A
request form is enclosed
for use as needed, and I
will do my best to
assist in every way
possible.
Come worship and
fellowship with us as we
meet for our 27th
Celebration!
SPECIAL GUESTS
include worship leader,
Cathy Miller, who
through
StrongFoundations,
helps Faith-based
ministries reach their
full potential. She will
be conducting the
Strategic Planning &
Grant Writing Workshop
on Saturday from
1:00-8:00 pm. Our Bible
study will be led by
Jean White, Church &
Community Consultant,
NAMB who was with us
last year as our home
missionary. The IMB
representative is
another ¡°returnee¡±,
Susan Partridge, China.
Also coming are Elaine
Ham, Pregnancy Care
Ministries Associate,
NAMB, and Grace McGraw,
Church-Community NAMB
missionary who ministers
in Birmingham, AL.
The variety of conference topics
will include IMB and
NAMB missions,
discovering your
Spiritual gifts, making
time for God in family
life, how to love the
unlovable, CPC
ministries, an overview
of NAMB ministries, &
when bad things happen
to good people. A few
other topics are still
to be confirmed! Plus
the Baptist Nursing
Fellowship (BNF) is
meeting on Saturday
beginning at 9:30 am.
We are also
blessed by having a
volunteer WMU team from
Kansas-Nebraska coming
to again serve in the
Kitchen area and a WMU
team from Ohio will
serve in the preschool
area. Home school
elementary children are
welcome with advanced
notice.
HOTELS: Ramada Anchorage
Downtown at 115 E. 3rd
Avenue is providing a
great rate! (see
enclosed announcement)
and make your
reservations soon!
Thank you for all you do
in serving the Lord in
our state. Please
provide this information
to all your women so
that they might enjoy
this wonderful
opportunity! And please
let me know if you need
more posters (also
enclosed) for your use.
God bless,
Judy Rice
CCM/wMu Director
PS – It is very seldom
grant writing workshops
are accessible in
Alaska, especially at
the registration price
we are charging!
Therefore, I would
deeply appreciate it if
you would share this
information with
Non-Profit Ministries
in your area! This
is especially important
for our attendance but
also because we were
unable to be listed on
the Faith-based
GrantStation.com due to
the fact too many
requests had already
been submitted to them
to be publicized.
Thanks for your help in
spreading the word.
