Are you ready for the
¡°Avalanche¡± or better
known as the Youth
Evangelism Conference?
Just like last year,
this will be an exciting
event with our featured
guests. The theme for
this year¡¯s conference
is ¡°Transformers.¡±
Don¡¯t miss getting your
youth involved in this
event.
Our guest speaker is
Afshin Ziafat. He is no
stranger to Alaska. He
was our speaker in 2003
up in Fairbanks. He is
Iranian and was
converted from Islam
while living in Texas.
He is now a full time
youth speaker and
travels the country
telling his story and
teaching about Christ.
Our band is Pocket Full
of Rocks. They are a
powerful worship band
and concert artist. We
are going to be blessed
by these leaders.
Our conference will
start on Friday evening
at 7 pm and conclude
around 10 pm. We will
start things back up at
10 am the next morning
and conclude around 5 pm
in the afternoon. We
will have two breakout
seminars. Having the
conference at Anchorage
Baptist Temple allows us
the opportunity to have
many breakout
conferences for youth to
choose from. As soon as
we confirm all of our
speakers, we will send
you an update. If you

A couple of things to
note about this year¡¯s
conference are the
shirts and meal.
T-shirts will be
provided to all
attendees who register
by February 26.
You must have your money
and registration into
our office by this time
in order to get the
shirts. We have to have
time to order the
shirts. You can still
add people up to the day
of the event, but they
will not get a shirt.
Help your parents and
youth understand they
need to plan ahead.
Secondly, we are going
to have a sandwich lunch
for all students and
adults who have
registered by March 12.
You can fax in the
numbers for meals by
this day and bring the
additional registration
money to the event.
Some people will sign up
late, but those that
sign up by the February
26 date will get a
shirt.

looking forward to a
great event. There are
many churches that can
house students. Please
call us for a list if
you need one. There are
churches in Eagle River
and even in the valley
that might house you.
This could be an option
for you and your kids.
